The Muswellbrook business community got its first look at the 2010 Business and Trades Expo plan on Tuesday morning.
The Chamber of Commerce held a breakfast meeting for local businesses to discuss the expo that is aimed to offer greater exposure to residents.
It will be held in conjunction with the Hunter Region Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) and Muswellbrook Race Club and coincide with the Aberdeen Cup Race Day.
Hunter Region BEC representative Julie Fibbins said it was a unique chance to promote a business in a different way at the Muswellbrook Racecourse.
“This day at the races gives the opportunity to market a business in a totally different and relaxed environment,” she said.
“We encourage businesses to offer special deals or discounts for the event.”
The expo will take place on Friday March 19 with the official launch dinner being held the night prior from 7pm at a cost of $65 per person. Guest speaker will be Jim Knowles, director of the Jim Knowles group.
A feature will also run in the Hunter Valley News highlighting those involved the week prior to the event.
