The dramatic talent and creativity of drama students from St Joseph’s High School Aberdeen will be on display next month in The Man with No Funny Bones.
The year 11 drama class is performing the production as part of their preliminary Higher School Certificate course Elements of Production.
Two night shows and a matinee performance will display the hard work of the students on Saturday, August 9 and Friday, August 15 commencing at 6pm with supper, and a matinee performance on Sunday, August 10 at 11am for morning tea.
All shows will be held in the school’s drama room.
A fast-paced, side splittingly hilarious play, The Man with No Funny Bones, is a script written by former student Edmund Hogan.
After visiting Onstage in Sydney earlier in the year, the students were eager to perform the play written by the St Joseph’s-own student which was presented in the best performances and scripts of 2007.
Edmund’s strong passion for drama leaks throughout the one act play and he is fast becoming well-known for his brilliant work.
The 10 drama students have been working on the production of the play since the beginning of term two and are now adding the final touches for performance.
Tickets are $8 each including supper and can be purchased by contacting the school on 6543 7444.
