Food, fun and the highlights of rural living will all combine next weekend for the Bengalla Upper Hunter Show.
The Show Society will celebrate the 120th anniversary of the show and things will kick off bright and early next Friday morning with the campdraft the first event on the schedule.
Highlights during the daytime itinerary include the sheep dog trials, sheep sheering demonstrations, polo-crosse, bursting with energy expo, animal nursery, post splitting and wood chop.
The Muswellbrook sky will light up on Friday night with the fireworks set to go off about 8.30pm. The music of Kyda Rock and the high flying action of FMX Extreme KAOS will also feature on Friday night.
The motorbikes of FMX will again rev into the ring on Saturday night while the rodeo is expected to begin at 6pm in the rodeo arena.
A hard hitting affair will close the show for another year when the demolition derby takes place in the centre ring.
The announcement of the Upper Hunter Showgirl will take place when the show is officially opened at 3pm on Saturday in the centre ring.
