A new doctor at a new medical practice in Muswellbrook treated 66 patients in his first four days this week.
Dr Sohail Meeran is the first of several new doctors from Tristar Medical Group who are due to start practising from the facility in coming months.
Located at Muswellbrook Fair shopping centre, the 250-square-metre facility has seven consult rooms.
The centre bulk bills and provides services including immunisations, minor surgical procedures, lung function tests, prostate screening, antenatal care and obstetrics.

Dr Meeran said pap smears, blood tests, common colds, chronic diseases and children took up most of the rest of his first days.
“It gives you a lot of satisfaction when parents are satisfied,” he said.
Dr Meeran has worked in Pakistan, London and, since 2007, John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, where he often had night shifts.
With a three-year-old son and two-month-old daughter, Dr Meeran was attracted to the chance to work office hours.
The family moved into their Muswellbrook home a fortnight ago.
