A team of Muswell-brook men will put their skills to the test when they contest the National Championship final of the Holden Scramble Golf event.
Being Australia’s largest and most successful Pro Amateur team’s event, gaining rank in the finals of the Holden Scramble is an admirable achievement for the local golfers.
More than 10,000 teams compete in the Holden Scramble from across Australia and Muswellbrook’s team made it into the top 28, an extraordinary achievement.
Scott Dial, Ricky Munday, Brodern Adam-Smith, Brad Bastick and PGA Professional Paul Finkle make up the team who will play at Twin Waters Resort in Queensland from Dec-ember 4 to 7.
The team was one of two teams to qualify for the Regional Finals at the Muswellbrook Holden Scramble in August.
They then played at Horizons Golf Resort on Tuesday where they were victorious by two and a half shots, which gained them a spot in the top 28.
The men will play 36 holes of golf over two days before a cut is made and the top half of teams join up with a touring professional for the last round.
The Muswellbrook team of Phil Reading, Graham Newton, Karen Newton and Robert Ryan also made it to the regional Scramble qualifier, coming in fourth.
