The nucleus of this team has been together for three or four seasons now and this has shown in their play throughout the year.

They have taken on all-comers and lost only one match in the regular season to finish seven points clear at the top of their table scoring 32 goals and conceding only seven goals in 12 games.

Following this they played second-placed Kahibah in the major semi-final and won 4-1 to progress straight into the grand final this Saturday.

The amazing thing is that there have been 11 different goal scorers in the team, which is testament to coach Thom Kane’s ethos of having the team play adaptable total football.

The club would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the U12s, U16s and the ladies teams on making the grand finals and wish them all the best for a successful weekend.

The club would also like to thank all the coaches, managers and parents of all teams for their huge effort over the season.

Don’t forget the senior presentation tomorrow night at 6.30pm and the junior presentation on Sunday at 11am, both at the Muswellbrook Workers Club.

There will be a bus going down to Warners Bay for the girls grand final on Sunday, the U16s play Kahibah at Metford tomorrow and U12s play Singleton at Singleton.
