Local real estate agent Sandy Warburton will throw his hat in the ring on Saturday night when he shows his skills in a feature fight at the Muswellbrook PCYC fight night.
Having already scared off one opponent, Warburton is yet to be matched for the fight, but organisers guarantee it will be another local talent.
The annual fight night is being held on Saturday night at the Muswellbrook Race Club at 7pm.
Three competitive boxers will step into the ring to fight against opponents from all over the state.
Dean Parker-Boaz will have his first fight, Matthew Hallett is having his third bout and Luke Sandell-Hay will step in the ring for his ninth fight.
The boys have been training hard for the competition developing new techniques with assistance from trainers Phil Wallis, Richard Bowen and Lance Cox.
Another feature on the night is a trainer versus trainer fight between Steve Haylen and Jason O’Halloran, sure to be an entertaining battle.
Muswellbrook PCYC manager De-anne Douglas said the fight night was always an amazing night with the boxing and a memorabilia auction.
“It’s always a good night so come along and support the PCYC,” she said.
All proceeds from the night will be going towards the development of youth activities at the Muswellbrook PCYC.
There will be a bus running from the Railway Station from 5pm for a gold coin donation.
Tickets are still on sale at the PCYC, including corporate tickets for $115, adults $27, under 18 and senior pension concession $15, or $70 for a family (two adults, two children). Gates open at 5pm and the fights start at 7pm.
