The Aberdeen Tigers scored their third successive victory when they defeated Muswellbrook by 30 -14 at Olympic Park on Sunday afternoon, highlighted by four tries from fullback Nathan Cantor.
After an early tussle for the lead Aberdeen was able to take the lead in the 43rd minute when a chip-kick from Karl Shearman was accepted by Cantor, who crossed for a try.
From there the team never looked back powering to victory in the second half of the match.
Best players for the Tigers were Nathan Cantor, second rower Luke Harcus, prop Mark Macaulay, lock Steven Hinschen and centre Robbie Rampling, who also spent time at hooker.
In the under 18 game, Aberdeen made it two wins in succession when they defeated Muswellbrook by 42-18.
The reserve grade team travelled to Greta Oval on Saturday afternoon to be beaten 30-12 by Greta Branxton.
This Sunday at McKinnon Field, Aberdeen will take on Scone in first grade and under 18s.
In reserve grade, the Tigers will play Murrurundi.
The under 18s will start the day’s action at 11.15am.
The First Grade clash between the Tigers and the Thoroughbreds, who are locked on 14 competition points, could be one of the best games of the year.
