Citizens Electoral Council’s Ann Lawler is passionate about the state of the economy.
She believes small business is the backbone of Australia and a crucial element of its economical endurance.
Ms Lawler is a small business owner, as are two of her children, and she is adamant her party’s policies provide solutions to the monetary problems facing the country today.
The economy is a standout issue for her, one which she hopes to have a chance to resolve in the coming term.
“The most important thing to me is probably the economy itself,” she said.
“It’s all geared the wrong way; you’ve got to change the system.
“If you don’t you’ll have a banking crisis and a lot don’t see that.
“No matter where we live [in the electorate], that is the most important thing.”
She believes focus should be placed on generating successful production and investing money in key primary industries.
“Of course, those sorts of things come from a productive economy,” she said.
“Everything is in a spiral of collapse; it’s scary but it doesn’t have to be.
“The most valuable asset you have in any country is your people – that human life should be your priority.
‘You can’t put a dollar value on human life.”
The candidate hopes voters will carefully consider who they vote for on September 7 and who can provide the best support for the country’s future.
