MT Arthur Coal has issued an apology to the Muswellbrook community following a blast at its mine on Wednesday, which resulted in fume travelling towards the Industrial Estate on Thomas Mitchell Drive.

“Mt Arthur Coal takes its environmental and community obligations very seriously,” NSW Energy Coal Asset president Peter Sharpe said.
“If anyone does have concerns, as a precautionary measure they may wish to seek medical advice.
“I would like to apologise to the community for any impacts they may have experienced from today’s blast."
