Paterson, who is currently subbing for Michael Valantine, and Barwick ran themselves ragged, playing unbelievable shots all around the court.
After winning three long games, Paterson triumphed in four.
Tony Mettam and Chris Agosto had another shot-for-shot showdown before Mettam suffered a calf muscle injury, “allowing” Agosto to win in five.
Luke McTaggart and Kristin Wood played a long, hard five-setter with McTaggart coming out the victor.
All in all, Team Valantine managed a convincing victory over Team Barwick 19 points to 8.
Team Jawaad left Team Butler wondering what went wrong, winning the night 22 points to 2.
James Butler and Ronnie Harmer had a night they would love to forget facing Noman Jawaad and Bill Conveny, who played like true champions to prevail easily in three sets each.
B grade had an early evening with two games being pre-played for the week and another forfeited.
Team Woolnough repeated the Jawaad/Butler score from Tuesday night, beating Team Valantine Jr 22 points to 2.
Unfortunately Team Valantine Jr’s fearless leader, Tim, was the only member able to put up a fight against his opponent.
He picked up the first two sets before losing his mojo and allowing Gary Woolnough to win the next three.
Team Heiland was too good for Team Three (who is currently without a team captain), defeating them 17 points to 6.
Kyle Denley had another fantastic game, easily winning against Basak Eraydin.
Danni Constable played with a lot of heart until having to retire injured against Kris Agosto.
Although Colleen Wood did not manage to get a game against Hengky Tjandra, she was happy to make him work a little harder than usual for his victory.
