Flagging ticket sales could force the organisation to abandon Saturday night’s fundraiser at the Muswellbrook RSL Club.
But, the committee is hopeful last-minute community support will save the day.
“The RSL Club is looking at cancelling the event, due to not enough numbers to cover the cost,” treasurer/registrar Bronwyn Pettit said.
“So, we are asking if you plan on going, to purchase your tickets now.
“The money we raise on the night is for your kids.
“It keeps our club functioning and enables us to purchase more, newer, better equipment.”
The fundraiser will feature Eric Grothe and The Gurus as the entertainment.
Former National Rugby League stars Brett Kenny and Col Bentley are also scheduled to attend.
“We also have a fabulous lucky door prize, donated by Channel Nine’s NRL Footy Show, that you will definitely want to win,” Pettit said.
“Tickets – $50 per person, which includes a two-course meal – are available from Finders Keepers in the main street.
“If this does not suit, contact fundraising coordinator Kylie Hunter on 0423 285 936 or Pete Collins on 0419 763 279.
“You can purchase tables for $500 and they will be reserved in your name.
“Organise a group of 10 and have a great night.
“The event is open to everyone – those who love the Rams, those who love the Parramatta Eels or those who just love the game.”
