But, on Monday, it will be “business as usual”, according to Carol O’Brien.
“We’re re-opening our doors again next week,” she said.
“From 9am on Monday, we’re back on deck at our Bridge Street location – it seems like it’s been a long time.”
The Vinnies’ shopfront and side windows were destroyed in the May fire, while the charred remains of the door frame left a pungent smell in the building.
Three wheelie bins of broken glass were also taken to the tip.
Over the past few days, workmen have painted the outside of the premises while a security system was recently installed.
The shop is stocked with winter clothes too.
“I’d just like to thank everyone for their patience and support over the last couple of months,” Mrs O’Brien said.
“A lot of people were upset by what happened; they didn’t understand why Vinnies was targeted.
“And, it’s hard to argue with them – it didn’t make any sense.
“But, our volunteers are refreshed after the break and looking forward to returning.
“And, now that we’re back, we’ll accept any good quality donations.”
