Twelve-year-old Ruby Brown has cooked so many Anzac biscuits this week, her mother, Monica, said she is going to turn into one.
The pair have been baking for their High Tea for Hamlin.
Mrs Brown is a midwife and through her work, has become award of the good work of Dr Catherin Hamlin, an Australian doctor who, with her husband, started Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia.
“Many women in third world endure childbirth without a midwife or medical help,” Mrs Brown said.
“Some sustain horrific injuries from their childbirth and the two doctors started hospitals in Ethiopia to surgically repair the injuries and they also train other Ethiopian doctors to perform the complex surgery, “ she said.
