But for the moment, six local children are pretty happy being television stars.
Mia Millward, Lacey Eeles, Caden Neighbour, Jayla Gill, Harlan Heusler, and Emmie Shuttleworth are the actors in the current Muswellbrook Marketplace advertisements.
The Aberdeen and Muswellbrook children act out a dinner party and complement each other on various things they have bought from Muswellbrook Marketplace.
Muswellbrook Marketplace marketing manager Jay Pirrelli said the centre wanted to feature local talent in the ad rather than going through an agency.
“We wanted to do something for the centre that was a bit different to normal retail style ads,” he told The Chronicle.
“So we came up with the idea of children playing the part of adults.”
Harlan said his favourite part was dressing up for the ad, and Mia said she liked wearing the jewellery.
“Everyone tells me I’m a star when I go to my friends’ houses,” Harlan said.
“My mum got lots of text messages,” Mia said.
When asked if they would be in another ad there was no hesitation.
“Yes, absolutely,” Caden said
