The presentation was collated by local woman Jan Sumner when the library was participating in History Week.
Mrs Sumner said her interest in the war was recently sparked by a particular group of items.
“I started out by looking at old World War One postcards and I am interested in the propaganda postcards to arouse the soldiers to enlist,” she told the Chronicle.
“The early soldiers were very enthusiastic to go to war.”
The exhibition covers Australia’s involvement from Gallipoli to the Battle of Beersheba.
Mrs Sumner is also a member of the Upper Hunter Museum of Rural Life.
The group is aiming to preserve history, particularly focusing on the local area.
“[We welcome] any information or photos of local soldiers- we are always interested in that,” she said.
