Muswellbrook RSL’s Logan White and Denman’s Jacob McCormick will line-up for a Singleton District Cricket Association side in the Twenty20 clash at Howe Park Oval.
A strong ACA Masters squad features famous names such as Clint McKay, Greg Matthews, Stuart Law, Jimmy Maher and Terry Alderman.
Former female Australian international cricketers Lisa Sthalekar and Julia Price will also take their place in the formidable team.
White said he was looking forward to the prospect of facing some of his childhood heroes.
“Clint Mackay has just been announced in the Masters side and I am excited to face him,” he said.
“But it’s a thrill just to be given the chance to play against some of the great Australian players I grew up knowing and admiring.”
He acknowledged it would be a tough test of his abilities, but said it was an honour simply to gain selection.
“I am looking to bat to the best of my ability and, of course, not to get a duck,” he said.
“If I am given the chance to have a bowl, I hope I can get a wicket or two.
“I am just honoured to be in-form this season and being given the chance to participate in such a match.”
The ACA Masters program has been developed to assist cricket associations to raise funds, promote the game and identify talent.
