RSL started the season in third grade but were quickly promoted after dominating the competition.
The club has continued to exceed expectations and will now face Valley in tomorrow’s decider at Cook Park 3.
Galvin said he was proud of the team’s performance throughout the season.
“I didn’t expect to make it this far because we didn’t really know how strong the Singleton competition was,” he said.
“This team’s got some guys who hadn’t played cricket before and it’s been tough with some others not playing every week.
“So I think we’ve done exceptionally well.”
Galvin believes the key to success against Valley will be removing their top order cheaply.
Valley batsmen Daniel Storey, Nathan Bagnall and Paul Cavanough are the leading runscorers in the competition.
However, RSL’s strike bowlers Dominic White and Luke Cameron have snared 51 wickets between them.
RSL’s only twice in the 40-over format but have yet to beat Valley this season.
In the first match between the sides, Valley chased down RSL’s total of 218.
They then defeated Muswellbrook in the Twenty20 final the next day.
