Internationally-acclaimed comedian Jimeoin is set to appear on stage at Muswellbrook RSL Club early next month.
The Irish-born comic, who has performed at a number of major international comedy festivals and starred in two feature films, will do the rounds of the Hunter before heading to the UK for an extensive tour.
When The Chronicle asked him to name a highlight from his illustrious career, Jimeoin responded in typically deadpan fashion.
“Muswellbrook,” he said.
After visiting the town three years ago, the man who has been adopted as one of Australia’s own is eager to get back in front of live audiences.
Despite all his experience, he admits performing can still be a bit nerve-wracking at times.
“If I do it [perform] regularly, I don’t get too nervous,” he said.
“But if I have a break for a while and think about it too much then it can be tricky to get back into routine.”
Jimeoin will be performing at the RSL on June 9 from 7.15pm.
He is also appearing at Cessnock Leagues Club on June 13, Club Maitland City on June 18 and Belmont 16 Foot Sailing Club on June 20.
