Friday was Red Nose Day and, for Mrs Nebauer, this year was no different.
Students at Denman Public School had an out-of-uniform day to commemorate the day, and Mrs Nebauer sold merchandise.
From 12 noon, she sat outside Denman Post Office raising funds for the charity which is so close to her heart.
“[SIDS and Kids has] been a part of my life approximately 14 years,” she said.
“They came into my life when my family had personal losses.”
Since then, Mrs Nebauer and her family have been committed to helping the foundation that helped them by raising money and awareness.
“We’ve been doing it for many years, and six or seven years with the school,” she said.
“I’ll do this forever.
“The Foundation supported us through that [loss] and we wanted to give back and support them.”
SIDS and Kids Hunter Region services include professional counselling, peer support, bereavement education, memorial ceremonies, referral and advocacy, family services newsletter, a 24-hour bereavement support line, and a drop-in centre.
On top of her work with Red Nose Day fundraising, Mrs Nebauer worked with Muswellbrook Shire Council to create a Garden of Innocence at Muswellbrook Cemetery.
She said those interested can ask to add a plaque through Muswellbrook Shire Council.
Mrs Nebauer said the Denman community has been very supportive over the years, as well as the team at SIDS and Kids Hunter.
"A lot of people don't realise there's support there for all pregnancy loss," she said.
"They have been a great support; they're great people."
Mrs Nebauer suggested contacting SIDS or Kids if anyone feels they need support.
The phone number for the 24-hour Bereavement Support line is 1300 308 307.
