GALE FORCE SOUTHERLY CHANGE ALONG THE COASTAL FRINGE.
Weather Situation
A vigorous southerly change is expected to reach the South Coast overnight, then move quickly north Wednesday morning, reaching central parts of the coast around dawn.
Gale force southerly winds are likely along the coastal fringe between about Narooma and The Entrance for a brief period with the change.
DAMAGING WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts of 90 km/h are likely for the coastal fringe of the Metropolitan, Hunter (particularly the Central coast), Illawarra and South Coast forecast districts overnight/early Wednesday.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
The SES also recommends homeowners should secure loose items around the house, yard and balcony and keep clear of any fallen power lines.
