The vehicle, driven by a 35-year-old, was stopped about 8.30pm.
Police searched the car and found two big sports bags in the boot containing about $920,000.
Wodonga Detectives seized the money and arrested the driver who was believed to have been travelling to Melbourne.
She was charged with possessing the proceeds of crime and remanded to appear at Wodonga Magistrates today.
Police remained tight-lipped on the cash bust and would not give further details about the case.
