In the opening round of the Hunter Valley Group 21 competition, the Rams knocked over the Tigers 30-22 in an entertaining first grade encounter.
In reserves, Aberdeen reversed the trend following a 26-18 triumph.
Muswellbrook crushed the Tigers in women’s league tag, handing out a 66-0 lesson.
Earlier in the day, the Rams’ under-10s faced the Scone Thoroughbreds at Aberdeen.
In round two, Muswellbrook goes into battle with the Denman Devils and Merriwa at Olympic Park on Sunday from 10.15am.
The Tigers are at home to Scone and Maitland from 1.30pm.
