And, the Muswellbrook South Public School student could fulfil one of those lofty aspirations at the World Youth Bullriding final at Abilene, Texas, from August 3 to 6.
It would be a remarkable achievement if the 12-year-old secured an international title – he only jumped on a steer, for the first time, in 2013.
“I saw some friends doing it at the Merriwa Springtime Show,” Attenborough said.
“So, I thought I’d give it [steer riding] a go.
“While it might not seem like it, six seconds is a long time on a bull/steer.
“And, I’ve only been competing for the past three-and-a-half years.”
Now, Attenborough will face rivals in the 8/U12 bullriding class on the world stage.
To further enhance his claims, he has the backing of the Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft and Rodeo Association (ABCRA).
“ABCRA nominated him, so they take the top two from every association,” proud father Mat said.
“There are seven riders going over from Australia – and Kade is the only one from NSW.
“I’m really happy about it [my selection],” Attenborough added.
“I’m looking forward to representing Australia; and achieving one of my goals.”
The Bad Company Circuit 2015 champion 8-to-U11 junior steer rider is now ranked number two, in his age group, in the country.
But, he’s clocked up the kilometres to do that.
“We made six trips to Perth last year and at least four-to-five to North Queensland,” his dad explained.
“In fact, we travelled 50 of 52 weeks in 2015.
“On top of that, Kade does fitness training three times a week – so he’s dedicated to the sport.”
As for the youngster himself, he’s grateful for all of the support from family and friends.
“I’d like to thank mum, dad, Roger Parkinson, Josh Towell, David Leake and David Kennedy,” Attenborough said.
“There are a lot of opportunities overseas, however I’ll see where it all takes me.”
