The sixth annual window display competition, which coincides with the Aberdeen Highland games, has encouraged some businesses to get into the spirit.
Organiser Elizabeth Birch said the competition had grown since it was established.
This year, eight windows in Scone, Aberdeen and Muswellbrook were creatively decorated ahead of the judging.
St Vincent De Paul Muswellbrook, Samaritans Muswellbrook, Berry and French Pharmacy, Muswellbrook Lifeline, First National Real Estate, Aberdeen Treasures, Farram’s Scone, and Aberdeen library participated.
”It’s been well supported,” Mrs Birch said.
“The local op shops have said it has brought more business their way.
”I’d like to thank everybody for taking the time to find all the tartan and using their imagination for the display because they are all different.”
The winner, Muswellbrook Lifeline, has received a certificate and some tickets to the Aberdeen Highland Games.
Mrs Birch said the committee was planning to continue the window display competition in the future.
The Aberdeen Highland Games will return to Jefferson Park, Aberdeen, on Saturday, July 2.
From 9am to 4pm, there will be a range of fun activities for the whole family – from highland and country dancing to tug-of-war and the kilted dash – there is something for everyone.
Stallholders will be on hand to sell Scottish heirlooms, and there will also be clothing, food, drinks, and more.
