One particular Year 9 student, Britany Louis, has been volunteering since she began high school.
The school is a big supporter of the community kitchen.
On June 16, the school hosted an out of uniform pyjama day with a bake sale.
They were aiming to raise money for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout and the Red Door Community Kitchen.
Throughout the day, they raised a total of $900 and split the money between the two causes.
On Wednesday, they presented the Red Door Community Kitchen with $450.
“From our point of view it’s wonderful to have them interested in the community,” Red Door Community Kitchen’s Brian Collard said.
“It’s [about] working together and it’s great we’ve got the opportunity to provide a facility that they can contribute to.”
