Affectionately known as Barbie by the Hunter Valley Local Area Command staff, the sponsored car was an important asset for the team.
Due to a new sponsorship agreement, they were required to farewell their pink vehicle – and, say hello to a brand new set of wheels.
And, the latest hatchback, a Toyota Yaris Ascent, was gratefully received by Hunter Valley Local Area Command.
Senior Constable Sheree Gray said it allows the crime management unit to attend various events around town without having to use the response vehicles.
“It gives us the ability to go to things and actually have transport,” she said.
“It allows us to do our job.”
Hunter Valley Local Area Command Chief Inspector Guy Guiana said the police would like to thank Wideland Toyota for their new addition.
