The first grade battle between the third-placed Singleton Greyhounds and hosts Aberdeen Tigers, currently in fourth spot, was on target to deliver everything it promised.
A Jacob Miller double, plus a Chad Solman conversion, gave the visitors a handy 10-0 lead.
However, Aberdeen struck back with two converted tries, one to centre Karl Shearman, to hit the front 12-10.
At half-time, the two sides couldn’t be separated with the score locked at 16-all.
But, in the end, the Tigers claimed the honours 28-20.
