This Daffodil Day – Friday, August 26, Cancer Council volunteer Libby Miles is encouraging Muswellbrook people to buy some merchandise to help raise funds and awareness.
Daffodil Day exists so people can show support for people who have been affected by cancer.
“You can help us support the cancer appeal for 2016 by purchasing some of the merchandise,”Mrs Miles said.
“How many of you have heard of a friend or family member who has had cancer since our last Daffodil Day?
“There would be a few of you and that is the reason we help to raise money to fight this insidious disease.”
Supporters will be selling merchandise at two Muswellbrook locations again this year.
Volunteers will be in front of the Westpac Bank in Bridge Street, from 8.30am to 3.30pm; and, upstairs at Marketplace Muswellbrook, from 9am to 3.30pm.
“So come along to either site and say hi to our volunteers who give freely of their time to help raise money for this great appeal,” Mrs Miles said.
“We also have our hand crocheted daffodils again this year which proved to be quite popular last year.
“We look forward to seeing you all on Friday.”
