COMMUNITY group TransCare has received a $2000 donation from Muswellbrook RSL as it looks to provide more services for ageing clients in town.

A ‘Wheels to Meals’ initiative, which allows people to have some form of social interaction with a meal instead of sitting at home, is now venturing into Muswellbrook.
The organisation has also formed a social outing-type program called TransClub in order to encourage clients to meet others.
TransCare CEO Alan Gordon said fundraising and donations had helped the popular program expand its services.
“Our philosophy is to keep people in their homes for as long as possible, and these programs such as TransClub and Wheels to Meals will assist greatly by enhancing their quality of life,” he said.
“Now that these programs have proved to be successful in Scone, it is considered necessary to branch out to other areas within the Upper Hunter region to provide similar services.”
Muswellbrook RSL CEO Daryl Egan said the club was happy support TransCare.
“This $2000 donation will help TransCare connect with residents of Muswellbrook with some of their new and expanded programs,” he said.
“We are happy to form a partnership with TransCare to help encourage not only our club Members but the wider community of Muswellbrook.”
