And, more than a couple hundred of youngsters dived into the Denman Swimming Club’s Intertown Carnival.
Representatives from Branxton-Greta, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Scone and Merriwa mixed it with the host organisation in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.
The ever-popular relays wrapped up proceedings.
Muswellbrook enjoyed a narrow competition lead heading into the event, with 1589 points.
Within striking distance were Branxton-Greta on 1577, Merriwa on 1549 and Scone on 1507.
But, Denman (976) and Singleton (917) can’t be discounted either, with both clubs fielding big squads at the weekend.
