In front of a good-sized crowd at McKinnon Field on Friday evening, the girls beat hosts Aberdeen.
And, Baillee Mavin etched her name in the record books by scoring the first try in the competition’s history.
Muswellbrook then backed up to knock over an under-strength Denman 20-4.
Unfortunately, Greta-Branxton withdrew from the format, leaving five sides to fight it out over the next month.
Round two continues this Friday, February 10, from 6pm at Denman.
