The 15-year-old has added the title to her Australian junior girls championship she won in 2016.
The titles feature a slalom, jumps and tricks section with the title going to the overall best point scorer.
Elaina won the slalom section and was second in the jumps.
“She had a great championships and it has lifted her to third in the world in the under-18 girls rankings,” Elaina’s mother Tina said.
“She works very hard and trains on the water at least once to twice a week throughout the year.
“During summer she will have up to five sessions a week on the water, with training in Sydney as well as regular sessions at Raymond Terrace and Clarence Town.
“She is also into dancing which helps a lot with the skiing as well.”
Waterskiing is a family affair with Elaina’s brothers Alex, 19, and Riley, 13, also world-ranked skiiers.
Tina said the family would be heading to Perth in April for the national titles. The next world titles are in 2018.
She said Elaina came fifth overall at the 2016 world titles in Wisconsin and narrowly missed on third place in the slalom. She recorded personal best scores in three of her four events.
Tina said the Branxton and Rutherford communities had been incredibly generous in supporting the family in getting to national and international events.
“People and businesses have just been tremendous. They are all excited for her and are thrilled by her results,” she said.
