The Love & Lies Tour comes to town on Saturday, March 4, when the three singer-songwriters bring their music to the RSL Club.
These leading ladies of country will perform their own sets of hits and favourites and join each other on stage for special duets and collaborations in a two-hour show that will have you embrace their cheeky wit, sassy style and award-winning songwriting, taking you on a musical and lyrical journey from laughter to tears.
Releasing her fifth studio album, Happy Ever After, in September 2016, Golden Guitar winner (2015) and CMC Female Artist of the Year (2015/2016) Amber Lawrence has risen to the top of the charts and country music in Australia not only through her talent, but also through sheer determination – she is often referred to as one of the hardest working artists in the industry.
“In recent years Catherine has gone from being someone I admired musically from afar, to a good friend who makes me laugh a lot,” Lawrence said.
“So, to combine both aspects in a tour was a no-brainer for me.
“When you’re on the road, you pretty much live in each other’s pockets, so I’m really looking forward to the laughs that we will share on this crazy trip around Australia.
“And, more importantly, I’m looking forward to the musical journey, sharing our stories and our fans and hopefully reaching a much bigger country music audience that is ready for us girls - the Love & Lies tour.”
Catherine Britt released her debut EP when she was 14 and then spent six years in Nashville where she toured relentlessly and reached the Top 40 Country Billboard chart.
She is still the youngest artist to perform at the famous Grand Ole Opry at age 17.
She has released five studio albums, including a Best Of, won the 2017 Vocal Collaboration of the Year Golden Guitar in Tamworth in January and was the 2009, 2013 and 2016 CMAA Golden Guitar Female Artist of the Year.
She’s also collected the 2012 CMAA Golden Guitar Single of the Year, and each of Britt’s albums have been finalists in the Best Country Album category of the ARIA Awards, which is the first for any Australian country artist.
In 2010, she was presented with the coveted CMA Global Artist of the Year award.
“I am hitting the road with two of my good friends and two artists who I admire as both songwriters and women who have a hold on their destiny through drive and hard work,” Britt said.
“I am so excited to travel together, playing music together and seeing this beautiful country as a team on the Love & Lies Tour.”
Opening the show is special guest Fanny Lumsden, who won the 2017 New Talent of the Year Golden Guitar just weeks ago and her debut album, Small Town Big Shot, came in at #6 on the Country ARIA Chart, #15 on the AIR Chart and has gained critical acclaim along with reaching #1 on the CMC chart for three weeks, a nomination for CMC New Oz Artist of the Year, and a sold out Country Halls Tour.
Tickets are now available for the March 4 Love & Lies Tour show at the Muswellbrook RSL Club on 6543 1700.
