After growing up seeing the affect of the disease on loved ones, she wanted to participate in the World’s Great Shave.
On Saturday, at Highbrook Park, she achieved her goal and had her head shaved for the cause.
Before the shave, she addressed her school assembly at St Joseph’s High School, Aberdeen, to ask for support from her peers.
“To help me achieve my new goal, if you have any spare coins in your pocket don’t hesitate to come find me to donate,” she said.
“I have wanted to do this for quite a while now, and now that I can, I need your support.
“I have seen how important the cause is through the loss of family members and family friends.”
Donations can be made until the end of April.
