Now in its fourth year, the popular event has raised almost $30,000 for local organisations.
And, Muswellbrook Rotary Club president Grant Jupe is hoping to increase that figure at the Muswellbrook RSL Club on Saturday, May 20.
“We’d be happy to reach the $10,000 mark,” he said.
“With the Bengalla Mining Company as a gold sponsor, and the assistance of other supporters, we’re on the way to hitting that target.
“The Charity Black and White Ball has been gathering more momentum each year, which is extremely pleasing.
“In 2016, we had 120 people in attendance – and we’d be delighted for that number again.”
Mr Jupe said the two major beneficiaries were Endeavour Group Australia and integratedliving Australia, both of whom do a lot of work in Muswellbrook.
“Those charities are not only hugely supportive of the event, but help organise a few aspects of the night,” he explained.
“We’re honoured to be able to help them [Endeavour Group Australia and integratedliving Australia] any way we can.
“The auction will offer some excellent items, including autographed Holden merchandise and signed football jumpers.
“There’s so much more going under the hammer, too.”
The evening starts from 6.30pm and tickets, $110 per person, include a three-course dinner, bubbly on arrival and fabulous entertainment.
