Their mission is to develop mentally healthy schools within the area.
And, they know issues relating to mental health affects people of all ages, in every town.
On Wednesday, May 24, the Upper Hunter-founded group will host an information night at Muswellbrook Public School, Roger Street.
All who are interested in creating a mentally-fit town are invited to attend and find out what WTAW is working towards.
Topics set to be discussed include working to improve mental health and reduce suicides across the Upper Hunter; what’s happening in local town and schools; opportunities for training in mental health first aid; how to become involved; and upcoming events.
"We had our first information evening in Denman last night,” WTAW secretary Andrea Burns said on Thursday.
"We had 50 people from the Denman community come along.
“We are also doing one in Aberdeen on Monday, May 29, at the Aberdeen RSL Club at 6pm.
“It’s very relaxed and people can ask questions.”
The WTAW committee is hoping to see as many people as possible at the Muswellbrook and Aberdeen sessions, and for the community to support the cause,
