The popular horse trainer died at the weekend after a short battle with brain cancer.
“He was a great guy,” club general manager Duane Dowell said.
“Quiet and unassuming but just loved his horses.
“Lewis was a true gentleman of the racing industry and one of the most well-liked trainers in this area.
“His quiet and gentle nature will be sorely missed here at Skellatar Park.
“Flags will fly at half-mast at Friday’s meeting at Muswellbrook with a race scheduled to honour Lewis on our Queen of the Valley Matchmaker program on Sunday, June 18.
“The board and staff of Muswellbrook Race Club send their sincere condolences to Lewis’ family and friends.”
Although he’d been in the industry for 45 years, Seib took up training in 1999 with his last winner being Tudor Sunrise at Mudgee last July.
He is survived by wife Julie, daughters Danielle and Belinda, and son David.
Dowell said the Seibs were a much-admired family on the local racing scene.
“Lewis ran his own stable with Danielle, a trackwork rider and university student, by his side,” he said.
“Julie handles the books for the business while also working at Scone Public School.
“David is a keen racing enthusiast who is also an owner and manager of syndications with his mates.
“Belinda, also a university student, is an owner in the business, too.
“In fact, they are a very close knit family.
“They all have something to do with the [family] business.
“This meant the world to Lewis.”
A benefit night will take place at the Muswellbrook RSL Club on July 29, with a lot of sporting memorabilia and much more featured in an auction.
Tickets are on sale from Monday, June 12, for $70 with a meal included.
A percentage of all proceeds will also go to the Mark Hughes Foundation.

* The funeral service for Lewis Seib will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Scone on Thursday, June 8, at 10am, followed by a burial at Scone Cemetery then a wake at Muswellbrook Race Club.
