The birthday festivities began on Friday night, courtesy of a get-together and catch up at Eaton’s Hotel.
Saturday’s clash with heavyweights Southern Lakes at Highbrook Park also coincided with Old Boys Day and Tyler Judge’s 100th appearance for the Heelers.
Inaugural president David White and guest speaker Matt Dunning then took centre stage at a “sold out” celebratory dinner at the Muswellbrook RSL Club.
“We’re delighted with the response,” vice-president Tim Pike said.
“There are more than 250 people attending the evening function.
“And, it’s great to see so many familiar faces [back in town].
“We’re very proud of what the Heelers have achieved in 50 years.”
On Sunday, the club will host a recovery barbecue breakfast at the Highbrook Park clubhouse.
