A MAN has died after being hit by a vehicle near Aberdeen this morning.

Emergency services were called to the New England Highway, 5km south of Aberdeen, about 4.40am on Wednesday, and found a man had sustained multiple injuries and died at the scene.
He has not yet been identified.
The female driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to provide assistance; she has now been taken to Muswellbrook Hospital for mandatory testing.
Traffic on the New England Highway is expected to be disrupted while the scene is examined.
Police from Hunter Valley Local Area Command are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
