Pupils were encouraged to dress in the colours of the Aboriginal flag.
Teacher Renee Coward said the school had celebrated the event for a number of years.
“It seems to get bigger and better every year,” she said.
“I’m Aboriginal so it’s very important to me.
“We had an Aboriginal artist [Amy Saunders] in the school who’s done some work with the kids.
“She did face painting and showed some of her different artworks.”
The 2017 NAIDOC Week theme is Our Languages Matter.
