About 1.30am on Thursday, July 20, the 25-year-old was stopped by police on Sydney Street, Muswellbrook, for the purpose of a random breath and drug test.

A check confirmed the accused’s licence had also expired.

A fluid test provided a positive result where the man was arrested and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station.

A search revealed a small amount of a crystal substance, too.

A second test was taken, which returned a positive result to methamphetamine.  

The man was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for drive with illicit drug present.
