The mining company generously donated more than $5000 worth of equipment, via 12 laptops, to the organisation.
“It’s awesome; everyone’s excited by the gesture,” regional coordinator Sally Pereira said.
“The clients’ eyes lit up when they saw them this morning.
“The laptops are such a great learning tool for them.
“There are so many things they can download – from spelling to money skills, research and information.
“It’s terrific [compared to what it used to be like].
“And, we’d like to express our gratitude to Bengalla’s IT administrator Jonathon Walsh for coming down here.”
Mrs Pereira said EGA had a long association with the mine.
“Kyle [Pemberton] has done a lunch run there every Friday, for many years,” she explained.
“We’ve formed a good relationship with Bengalla.
“So, when the opportunity arose [to get the laptops], we jumped at the chance.
“I’d love to thank Bengalla for its generosity.
“They are always supporting us, from lending EGA outdoor shelters to other items, and willing to help with any of our needs.”
