And, it was all for a very worthy cause.
The Newcastle Pink Ribbon Ride, which departed from Hexham, landed in the Upper Hunter town about noon on Saturday, much to the delight of the local contingent who was on hand to greet the participants.
The Royal Hotel hosted auctions, raffles, a barbecue lunch, entertainment and lots of fun and laughs while there were prizes for best dressed bike, best dressed male and female, and longest ridden.
Organiser Mick Yule was delighted with the outcome.
“It was a great day for the Newcastle Pink Ribbon Ride at Denman,” he said.
“All the funds raised will be donated to the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation – and, importantly, stay in the region.
“Everyone had a terrific time and adopted the dress-up theme.
“It was just a fantastic atmosphere.
“We’ve been doing this run for many years now and amassed thousands of dollars.
“But, we must thank The Royal Hotel and the Denman locals – what a wonderful bunch of people.”
