The first occurred between 4am on Thursday, October 31, and 7.30pm on Thursday, November 9, in Cook Street.
Unknown persons entered the premises by unknown means through the ground floor rear door.
Once inside, the offender/s have made their way into the home and, at the time of the report, it appears a washing machine is the only item taken.
The fridge was also moved out of its usual position.
However, it is thought the offenders opened it and then realised it was not working and therefore decided not to take it.
The walls were damaged, too, with numerous holes in the gyp-rock and the contents of the cupboards and drawers were spread all over the floor in all rooms.
No-one was home at the time of the incident.
The second offence took place in Lorne Street between 3pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, November 9.
About 3pm, the victim left his house securely locked to go down to the shops.
On his return about 5.30pm, the man noticed the rear door of the residence had been forced open and the lock damaged on the door jam.
He checked his home, but no property was reported to be taken.
The man noticed one draw in the front bedroom had been opened and a lamp pushed over and broken.
Traffic stop at Jerrys Plains
ABOUT 2.25pm on Thursday, November 9, a Singleton woman was the driver of a white Subaru, which travelled in a westerly direction on the Golden Highway at Jerrys Plains.
Police conducted a breath test, which returned a negative result.
However, the 48-year-old provided false details.
After a discussion, the driver produced the appropriate identification.
Upon checks it was found that the accused held a Class C Drivers Licence, number (NSW) which was endorsed “disqualified” from March 9, 2012, to March 9, 2032, due to a charge at Cessnock Local Court.
Police issued the woman a Field Court Attendance Notice for drive whilst disqualified (second offence) and driver state false name.
She is scheduled to attend Singleton Local Court on November 30 in relation to this matter.
