Approximately 120 people partook in the charity walk that ended at Simpson Park, where music, food stalls and entertainment for the entire family was waiting for participants.

Little Stroke Warriors Australia co-founder and event organiser Kylie Facer said the event was a success.

“We estimate that we’re probably going to hit about the $5000 mark, which is great,” she said.

“It was a really good day, the weather was perfect and it was a terrific turn out at the park.”

She said the numbers at the park were really good too, and those who stuck around enjoyed a fantastic afternoon, especially the children.

“The kids loved the firet ruck, the RFS (Rural Fire Service) guys came down and the kids were all over that,” she said.

“I’d say between that and the jumping castle and then having the band there, all in all I think it was pretty well-received and was just a good day all round.”

She also gave a big thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors that joined the cause and helped out on Sunday – and admitted they couldn’t have done it without them.
