As the date draws closer, the Mumbulla Foundation is thrilled two new sponsors have come on board to support this year’s gala dinner.  Tarra Motors and Southern Farm Supplies join Bega Cheese as major sponsors to the annual event.  The owners of Tarra Motors, John and Gudrun Stylianou, are glad to contribute to their community through the work of the Mumbulla Foundation.   All funds raised by the gala dinner go towards the distribution of grants to local community organisations. As well as distributing grants, the Mumbulla Foundation is extending its experience to help community groups work through the daunting process of grant writing.  Next week, the foundation is hosting four free grant writing workshops with the help of Bega Valley Shire Council. All potential grant applicants are encouraged to attend. Representatives from both organisations will be on hand to answer questions about what type of projects qualify for events and what guidelines need to be met.  Workshops will be held at Bega Library on Tuesday, September 12, Tura Library on September 13 and Eden  and Bermagui Libraries on 14 September. All workshops start at 4pm. The Mumbula Foundation hopes the workshops will make the process of applying for a grant as stress free as possible. Mumbulla Foundation chairman Gary Potts said he was delighted the new sponsors had come on board to support the gala dinner which facilitated projects such as the grant writing workshops.  “Their generous financial support, along with our principal sponsor Bega Cheese, underpins what promises to be a very entertaining evening and great financial success for the foundation in raising money for community projects,” he said.   Tickets to the gala event include dinner, drink on arrival and guest speaker Peter FitzSimons. The event will take place on Friday, October 20, at Oaklands Events Centre, Pambula. Tickets for the dinner are available at www.mumbulla.org.au.
