Len and Elaine Jarrett offer these two pieces of advice for a long and happy marriage.
And the couple would know the secret to success: they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last week.
Mr and Mrs Jarrett met at Port Macquarie 65 years ago, and married at Auburn Anglican Church on February 9, 1957.
They lived in the Cessnock area for 42 years, working together in post offices and general stores.
They moved to Cooranbong about four years ago. Mr Jarrett, now 91, still plays tennis at Cessnock every Friday.
With three daughters, 10 grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, their life is never boring.
They travelled back to Port Macquarie on the weekend with their three daughters to celebrate the special occasion.
