Fourteen auxiliaries were represented at the Muswellbrook and District Workers Club, including Singleton, Scone and hosts Muswellbrook, along with the state president Linda Swales.
Muswellbrook District Hospital’s nursing unit manager Sharon Eriksson, who stood in for general manager Wendy Hordern, opened the meeting.
Local president Sue Durham then introduced Mrs Swales to give her report, followed by regional representative Linda Martin.
“We’re honoured to host this year’s conference,” Mrs Durham said.
“It’s great to see so many familiar faces.
“Tony [Neate] spoke about his life during the war years, entitled War Time Childhood, which was very interesting.
“An enjoyable lunch was had by all those present, followed by the afternoon session featuring resolutions, discussions and UHA business.”
