In 2016, more than $65,000 was raised by the Muswellbrook community at Relay For Life.
This year’s edition is scheduled for September 16 and 17.
“It’s events such as Relay For Life in Muswellbrook that enable us to provide the services that we do, from transport to treatment, home help or even just having trained staff able to pick-up the phone and offer advice is invaluable for people going through their cancer journey,” Cancer Council’s Clint Ekert said.
“Muswellbrook is a fantastic community and the support that this event receives year on year is huge.
“We couldn’t do it without the support shown by the local residents.
“But we do need help.
“We are looking for more hands to assist the committee and get involved in the planning of this fun event.
“They say many hands make light work.”
An information session will take place on Thursday evening from 5.30pm at 93A Hill Street (HCC Office).
